750ml bottle, best before 03/03/2031, poured into a stemless wine glass. Enjoyed on 06.28.2025, reviewed from Tasting Journal.
The beer pours a light copper color, amber and orange hues, very clear with a fizzy white head, nominal retention and lacing. The aroma is very earthy and funky, dry leaves, horse blanket, citrus rind, oak barrel, mineral water. The flavors are very nice, bright citrus, super funky, oaky, apple fruit, dry leaves, very earthy and green, soft grains, mineral water. The mouthfeel is good, coating, crisp, super lively medium body, tart with a dry finish.
Verdict: A nice gueuze from Tilquin. Super earthy and funky but with nice brightness and tangy citrus qualities.

Offers a yellow to orange colored beer with a small head atop, which quickly recedes.
Aromas lead with fermented apples, blue cheese and a fruity, vinous ripeness among leathery oak and dried herbs.
Its mouthfeel is vivid and light, revealing a refreshing and well balanced beer with a well nuanced effervescence during its finish.
Tastes of a pungent tartness, forming from balsamic, apple vinegar and cucumber water among dry herbs and a short glimpse of ripe white wine grapes. Its dusty, leathery and slightly spicy barrel character takes ahold of the palate once the beer develops a certain softness during mid palate, also allowing orange zest and bread dough to cut through. Finishes bright and effervescent with a stony carbonation, lifting up its initial sourness while allowing its oaken components to blend in at the same time, creating a lasting complex dryness on the tongue.
Very well made Geuze with a great interplay between bright, oaken and fruity sour flavors.

Copenhagen 21/9 2024. 75 cl bottle with a cork stopper from Beershoppen web-shop. Army green label in Tilquin's usual design with some elegant drawings of vegetation.
Pours unclear golden amber - almost orange with a mid-sized white head. Bubbly. Settles as thin patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a sweet fruity odor soon overpowered by a tart and sharply sour scent. A little funky. Apricots and peach. Green apples, tart gooseberries and vinegar. Scent of sour cheese and stables.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, soft, lightly tingling texture. A bit prickly.
Flavor is medium intense with a light sweetness followed by stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour but rounded. Lingers for a bit. Finish is dry.
Fruity yet dry.
