On tap at Anaheim Brewery in Anaheim, CA.
Pours a hazy gold with a foamy white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Thin rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus fruit, and citrus zest. Taste is much the same with a hefeweizen yeast flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that tastes almost like a hefeweizen mixed with an IPA.

Consumed January 8th, 2013 in a standard pint glass.
Beer appears a light golden as it pours from the bottle, but turns a murky tan in the glass. A one-finger white head formed quickly, but subsided just as fast to a thin, patchy skin of foam that reminds me of a culture in a petri dish.
Aroma is floral and sweet; orange blossoms and generic pancake syrup.
Flavor is similar to nose, to an extent: first up is sweet caramel/crystal malt. Midtaste is floral and a healthy but not obnoxious dose of bitterness finishes things up.
Mouthfeel is creamy and there is carbonation notable at the swallow, more noted as a burning than a tingle.
Strange but welcome to find a California IPA that isn't a bitter hop bomb. Even more odd that the beer doesn't betray its relatively high ABV in the flavor.
