Had on-tap as a part of a paddle at Boat Works in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.
Appearance: A brownish, rustic amber color with a slightly creamy off-white head. A lot of lacing.
Smell: Definitely a hoppy amber. Floral hops and earthiness. A bit of "grit" in the aroma as well from the malt. Pleasant.
Taste/feel: Bitter, dry, floral, and with a nice malty flavor, though this beer is definitely a bit more on the bitter side. I wasn't aware that it was an amber when I had ordered it, but it makes sense now that I see the style. More of a red IPA in my opinion, due to the heavy hopping and bitterness. Feel is a little bit light -- I'd like a bit more body -- but the carbonation is about moderate, and I'm good with that.
Definition of a "solid" beer. It's good, and it has a decent amount of depth to keep things interesting, but it's one of Greenbush's less awesome beers.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
