12 ounce dated 11/25/14, half into a snifter, half into a pilsner glass.
Pours a nice head that dissipates slowly. Malty for the style, probably a good thing since the ABV is high for the style. Good flavor- a little sweet but you still get the Noble- like hops. A little alcohol on the back end. A nice beer, it grew on me as it disappeared.

Beer #2 from the Advent Calendar. Bottled 11.25.14 and enjoyed from a teku
A: Pours a brassy orange shade of gold with a thick, substantial white head.
S: Lots of funky caramel sweetness with notes of banana and musk. A definite Belgian yeasty vibe, but also pretty sweet smelling.
T: Tastes very nice, though I'm not too familiar with this style and I'm not sure what I'm tasting, exactly. Sweetness, hops, a dry bitterness, maybe some candied oranges, and a strong (and pleasant) alcohol presence. Tastes a lot different (and better) than the nose would've suggested.
M: Almost vinous; a little thick and a little syrupy; and packs a warming alcohol presence.
O: I don't drink many beers in this style, so I wasn't sure what to expect from Helmet of Remnar or how to judge it fairly. So I'll just say it tasted really good and I wanted to drink another one, but it's not a beer or style I see myself going back to regularly.
