12 ounce bottle into a snifter.
Pours a deep ruby color, a bit hazy, with a one finger head, some lacing. Smell is of malts, brown sugar, caramel, figs, dates, some floral hops, a little raisin. Aroma overall is a little sweet. Taste is malt forward; also caramel, brown sugar, dates, figs, plums, less hops than the nose. A little sweet, but not overly. Smooth, especially for the ABV, creamy, well carbonated.
Have had two bottles, find it very enjoyable. Lots of flavor, maybe a little hoppier than the typical English Barleywine, but it's a good a classification as any.
