12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Bottled 11/4/15.
Pours a copper color, with a one finger head and a good amount of foamy lacing. Mostly clear after the head dissipates. Smells of malt, chocolate, caramel, some yeast, bread, light vanilla- a bit more as it warms. Has an earthy aroma to it. The taste is more malt forward, a little caramel, light vanilla, some chocolate underneath that comes out more as it warms. Some hop bitterness that starts midway and goes through the finish. Smooth, good body, maybe a touch thin.
Nice beer, pleasant to drink, glad to have tried it. Not my favorite style, but if you stop at Greenbush and it's in the cooler, grab one or two...
