Original rating on tap, full review from 12 ounce bottle into a pilsner glass on 12/11/16.

Pours a mostly clear medium amber, with a huge head of thick foam on an average pour. A good amount of foamy lacing. The smell is malt, caramel, some yeast, raisins, a light, fruity and spicy aroma, kind of berry like, a little oaty. The taste opens up a little more than the nose- malt, caramel, dates, raisins, a little brown sugar, light plums, some strawberries. Maybe some oats. It's fairly sweet, but very good flavor. Smooth, fairly creamy, well carbonated, a good body that's a bit lighter for the style.

An interesting take on a Doppelbock, also has attributes of a Barleywine and Old Ale. Really good flavor. Fun one to drink.
