12 ounce crowler into a pilsner glass. Canned 6/2/20, had the same day.
Pours a brownish golden color, mostly clear, with a two and a half inch foamy head with decent retention and some foamy lacing. Active carbonation. Aromas of bread, caramel, malt, light yeast, a bit of a toasted aroma. Flavors of malt, caramel, bread, some yeast, a light spiciness. There’s a little bitterness on the finish. Smooth, a decent but lighter for the style body, well carbonated.
This is as bready as any Doppelbock, with a good amount of caramel, too. Good, but the flavor and feel kind of fall down on the finish. Would like to try this in an actual can or bottle.
