Labelled "MM Porter" at a bar in Chicago. Served on-draught into a pilsner glass over St. Patrick's Day weekend. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a one finger head of nice cream, good thickness, and good (~3+ minute) retention. Body colour is a solid dark black; nontransparent & opaque. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: Light roast, milky character, milk chocolate, rich dark malts, and hint of hazelnut. Well executed for the style. No yeast character or alcohol is detectable. Appealing. An aroma of mild strength.
T: Milk chocolate, buried roast, dark malts, and chocolate malt. Cream. A bit mlky. Light hazelnut. Balanced and enjoyable, if simple. I do like it. No yeast character or alcohol comes through.
Mf: Creamy, smooth, wet. Good thickness. Good carbonation. Suits the style well. Complements the flavour profile.
Dr: A drinkable and enjoyable porter. I quite like it. I'd definitely get it again; really tasty stuff. Looking forward to trying more from Greenbush.

Mince Meat sends shivers up my spine, but this beer has an amazing taste. A wonderful flavor that I'll be trying again and again. It's on tap only so hopefully enough locals try and like it to get it bottled like many other recent Green Bush beers.
