Pours a mostly opaque black with a coffee colored head. Aromas and flavors of espresso, roasted coffee beans, milk chocolate sweetness, and a very creamy and smooth mouthfeel. Very good beer.

On tap at Newhall Refinery in Newhall, CA.
Pours an almost opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, espresso bean, brewed espresso, and earth aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, espresso ground, brewed espresso, char, and earth flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of roast bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with lots of intense espresso bean and brewed espresso qualities all around.
Serving type: on tap.
