Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance-The beer pours a golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is heavy of a bready and citrus aroma mixed with some other hop of a slightly grassy nature. Along with these aromas comes some sweeter notes of tangerine and some honey.
Taste – The taste began with a rather crisp bready taste mixed with a decent citrus and honey sweetness. There was a little bit of citrus hop upfront, with some other hop of a light grassy and floral nature coming later on in the taste. Toward the end the honey increases a bit while the citrus sweetness fades a bit. With a little bit of increase in the hops at the very end, one is left with a somewhat crisp, but sorta moderately honey hopped taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very thin and crisp with a carbonation level that is rather average. The feel was decent, but a little more body may have better accentuated the honey and hoppy tastes of the brew.
Overall – While honey was present I didn’t get too much of it. Also the hop was a bit light for an IPA of 7 % abv. Overall, while nothing wrong with the brew, it is more of a strong pale ale with a bit of honey. I was just expecting a bit more flavor I guess.

Bottled 9/15/15.
Pours a hazy honey orange with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and slight honey aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid flavors, but I am only getting a slight honey presence in the smell.
Serving type: bottle.
