A decent BC IPA, but by not quite comparable to Old Yale or Philips.
Nice golden colour to it, with very little head. Faint smell to it, typical of an IPA but heavier on the malts.
Taste is decent, good hop kick with a good dose of malt to mellow it. Faint citrus and grassy hints, but again nothing like some other BC brews.
Enjoyable, and a great compliment to a meal or on its own. One of the better BC brews.

It poured a slightly hazy orange copper with a good firm head. Eventually it settled to a thick creamy layer with some lacing on the glass. It's perhaps a bit hazier than it should be, but that's not so bad.
On the nose, I find a lot of floral and piney hops. There are some amazing grapefruit citrus notes in there as well. It smells fresh and clean, I like it.
The flavour is aggressively hoppy. Lots of piney and resinous flavours, with some floral tastes following the swallow. Grapefruit is strong and bright, and other light fruit flavours make themselves known over time. The malt flavours are a clean, but almost completely obliterated by the hops. The aftertaste is bitter, but in that good-bitter-IPA kinda way.
In the mouth, it feels smooth and clean. Carbonation is light but sufficient. The finish is dry.
For me, this has become my definitive IPA, I compare everything to it.
