Notes from a friend..."shampooed wet dog"...spot on! Sweet and fruity, hint of sourness, pinch of bitter, all wrapped up in a very light bodies and easy to drink beer.

This pours with a great clarity. The color of golden crystalline in the glass. I get a mellow yet nuanced Brett aroma that complements the hop profile with a bready, Bretty orange zest character.
It's crisply hoppy with a touch of Brett funk.
Delicious!

I love finding new Heretic brews in town.. Very cool. Enjoyed a nice goblet at PreFunk tonight while out with Ditmier. Pours a clear golden.. okay lacing and cap.

Nose is bretty.. pale malt spiked with wet dog and wool socks.. light citrus hoppiness.

Flavor mirrors the nose.. bretty notes that remind me interesting beers don't need a monster ABV... light pale malt helps carry the brett... hops are a bit perfumy making for a "shampooed wet dog"... could maybe be a bit drier.

Light body and nice bubble.

I am surprised I like this one as much as I do... I like Orval, but I would drink this most times over Orval... The hops really help.

Pours a half finger of head on a clear light straw colored body.
The aroma has that "Bretty" smell and some grain. Nice.
The taste has moderate lemon bitterness and some mild pine. Good balance.
The texture is crisp.
Pleasant.

A - Served a clear copper-yellow with a thin finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some good lace.

S - Aroma is a mix of slightly sour Brett with some lemon peel and other citrus aromas, and some Belgian yeast esters with a bit of bready malts.

T - Starts off with some light tartness and sourness with some citrus and light yeast esters. Through the middle, some more citrus and lemon peel comes through with some coriander, Brett, and light bready malts. The finish is a mix of tartness with some citrus, yeast, and spice.

M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart and dry finish.

D - Very drinkable. Nicely balanced with a good complexity and depth added by the Brett.

Tried on tap at City Beer in San Francisco around 3 weeks ago. Writing based on notes. (I'm pretty sure it was this one... I don't see another "Heretic with Brett").

A: Clear, light golden color. Small head.

S: Honey, unpleasant bready malts.

T: Not much different from smell. Maybe a little wit-like. Disappointing and forgettable. Sweetness remains in aftertaste.

M: light to medium body. Low-ish carbonation.

O: C'mon, Jamil... Release something great, already. I'm trying to root for you.

On-tap @ Blue Palms Brewhouse - served in a tulip.

Nearly clear, pale sunglow body with a lasting egg-shell skin. Delicate pasty lacing, average retention.

Grape skins, winter fruit, faintcrackers, and a peppery Brett. note in the nose.

Light crackery malt, unripe pear, and a grassy low bitterness on the palate. Yeast contributes the most flavor along with an earthy Brett. undercurrent into the dry, vaguely herbal finish. Fairly clean and crisp overall with hints of white tea.

Light-bodied with light carbonation. A little thin for a table beer (at least compared to the unfiltered offerings like those from Dupont).

Very drinkable, straight-forward pale ale with the added interest of gentle wild notes.
