We got together with our good friends at Grizzly Peak to brew this long lost style of German wheat ale called Lichtenhainer. The Bear Witch Project is a Lacto soured smoked wheat ale brewed to the Lichtenhainer style. For this beer, we used locally grown and malted Michigan wheat from our friends at Michigan Malt Co. Incredibly tart and assertively smoked, this is a truly unique drinking experience.

Tap @ brewery. Cloudy gold hue. Big smoked nose - tasted like Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock poured into a gose. Sort of a sour bacon/smoked ham flavor.
