650ml bomber poured into pint glass 25/7/15

A slight haze in golden liquid, massive three fingers of foam slowly falls to a pencil top eraser island that leaves partial rings all the way down the glass, looks sexy

S very spicy, some earthy notes, lemon rind, plenty of pine, some grapefruit and a hint of butterscotch

T heaps of pine and lemon rind, still spicy, fairly straightforward but solid

M has some body for a lightweight, gritty, a nice bitter bite, creams up a little from the bubbles, like chewing on a pine needle afterwards

O not bad for a lightweight, enough going on to please and fairly priced

maybe the butterscotch is a little diacetyl but its a minor flaw if the case, worth a try either way

Following the current trend of session IPAs, Mission Springs has released a chinook hopped "ISA." Pleasant hop aroma but the taste is too bland. Not enough of that snap, comes across watery and overly carbonated, perhaps to compensate for the lack of flavor. Overall, an okay summer session beer but nothing that would keep me coming back for more. C-
