The Floyds' ability to lager a beer is nearly as underappreciated their ability to name a beer is overrated. Although a google search tells me the name is some military history crap, but I don't even bother to click on that because I'm not a 60-year-old dad and so military history ain't my thing.

Pours pretty hazy for a lager, but I guess this is an APL instead of a pils so that's okay. Smells of hay, grass, and weeds, with some distinctive FFF hopsmanship shining through nicely.

The sweetish smell mellows nicely in the flavor, which is hoppier and beerier. Still clearly lagered, with big nodes of peaches and flowers clipped firmly by a sharp peng of malt.

Poured out of a 22 oz. bomber. Dated 9/23/15.

Pours a clear golden color with a two finger white head.

Aroma is grassiness, floral, light pine resin, slight earthiness, touch of dank, good amount of peach, banana esters, and some grapefruit. Slight sugary sweetness in the background.

Being not even a day old when drinking this and taking into consideration that this is a lager and brewed by FFF, it is not surprising that it is all hops in the taste. Get a good amount of floral and peach, with hints of grass, pine, earthiness, and grapefruit. Get a slight banana ester from the yeast. Some nice sugary sweetness to add balance to the beer up front, but finishes bone dry with a good amount of pine resin bitterness.

Medium body. Crisp and clean as a lager should be. Do get an oily finish from the hop oils.

Glad to see that FFF decided to come out with another hoppy lager. They have brewed hoppy lagers in the past (Jinx Proof), but nice to see a new one out with a bolder hop flavor. Could use more hop complexity, but still a solid collab beer.
