Appearance - The beer was thick and black as tar.
Smell - With the notes of the base beer, the cherry came through nicely.
Taste - The profile was chocolate forward with notes of sweet and tart cherry. None of the adjunct were dominant, so there was a nice sense of balance. Tart cherries lingered on the sides of the tongue.
Mouthfeel - The viscosity lent the profile the ability to linger.
Overall - This beer was quite tasty. 3 Floyds is the rare brewery that knows how to put cherry in a stout.

Pours a light swallowing black with a creamy mocha colored head that dissipates over a minute or two.
The nose is the base beer with ripe cherry anmd some vanilla added, and that’s where the taste lands, with a rich, chewy mouthfeel providing a great finish.
This is an excellent variant, IMHO, one I’d gladly try again.

Matte black with a densely fluffy but short tan head.
After an XX draft at DLD, this presents as bolder, more assertive and a little thicker, perhaps due to a touch more carbonation. Bourbon char meets mild cocktail cherry that accents very well, kind of as if spiced, all while remaining overall bitter of tannin.
Makes me wish I'd have scored a Jovan.

At DLD 2026, I had two pours of this, first on draft where the chocolate-cherry was so on fleek, dipped in bourbon frosting without cloy. Then out of bottle later in the day, it's even better because of being warmer, as it becomes even more very cherry, while seeming natural and almost vitamin and nutrient injecting...lol!
They did it again! Increasing my 4.51 score.
