Pours opaque jet black with a thin tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is bold cinnamon, some vanilla and oak. Flavor follows the nose; the barrel is there but the cinnamon overpowers it. The feel is thick and without much carbonation. Overall, a delicious beer that IMHO could use a touch less cinnamon.

Picked up a 2025 edition 12 oz bottle from Shangy's in Eammaus, PA for $6.49. Consumed 4-9-26.
Beer poured black with a nice tan head with the original pour.
Nose is overwhelming cinnamon which dominates anything else offered by the brewing team's recipe.
Taste is a blast of heavy cinnamon over a very large malt base in which i cannot tell how roasted it is. Warming peppers follow with each sip down the pipe. Coffee and vanilla at best are covert to the palate contributors to the overall flavor.
Mouthfeel is medium to large bodied, with each sip very smooth and satisfying.
Overall, attention all brewers, a little cinnamon goes a long way. There is no aging a beer with cinnamon with the hope flavors will meld.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours jet black with a one-finger foamy dark khaki head that reduces to a ring around the glass
S- nose is predominately peppers and cinnamon up front with a big green pepper skin note. As it warms, the barrel emerges, adding bourbon and oak, along with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla cream and earthy espresso on the back end. Very complex
T- rich chocolatey malt up front is immediately followed by a green pepper note, as well as an herbal and earthy espresso note. Mid-palate brings out bold cinnamon notes, as well as the barrel, which adds bourbon, oak and caramel. The finish brings out a creamy vanilla notes with more espresso. The linger gives cinnamon, pepper and chocolate that sticks around long after the finish
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that turns slightly creamy into a warming finish, heat from both the peppers and alcohol

A spicy cinnamon bomb. A little heat at the end but it doesn't overwhelm. Lots of sweet cinnamon. Delicious beer, tastes like a spiced cinnamon cookie. Yum

12oz etched BOTTLED 2025 poured into a tulip pint glass at just above fridge temp 14.1% ABV. The beer pours pitch black with medium brown colored head. The head recedes to a thin ring and little else. The aroma is spicy sweet with notes of chili pepper, cinnamon and coffee. The taste is semisweet roasted malt with more chili, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon and mild bitterness. The feel is medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Minimal alcohol burn for 14.1% Overall, excellent stout.

I’ll say this up front, I love Xocoveza and this beer is Xocoveza on PED’s, so take that into account in this review.
The beer pours black and settles black in the glass with a creamy mocha colored head that lingers. Beautiful BA impy stout.
The nose is rife with the cinnamon and and peppers (pasilla and ancho), and there’s also rich vanilla and chicane some roasty coffee, plus a bit of barrel. Yum.
The cinnamon and especially the peppers are AMPED on the taste, providing a nice amount of heat that is augmented by a nice boozy note from the barrel and balanced by the rich vanilla and chocolate flavors, with some roasty coffee for good measure. O. M. G.
The mouthfeel is full and creamy, helping to balance that nice pepper heat that does not quit - at all - at the back of the palate. This may not be for everyone, but it is fitting my palate perfectly, which doesn’t happen often.

L: Pours dark chocolate brown, forming a thin tan head that is quick to fade. A thin ring of espresso lacing around the edge and a faint swirl of bubbles on the surface. Held to the light, an opaque fudge.
S: Vanilla, cinnamon, medium roast coffee, cacao nibs, bourbon barrel, and a hint of peppers.
T: Lactose, vanilla, cinnamon initially, extremely sweet; almost cloying. Balanced out slightly by coffee, roasted malt, and some dark chocolate. Bourbon barrel and chili peppers lend some bite and heat.
F: Medium- to full-bodied. Silky, smooth mouthfeel. Light carbonation.
O: A little sweet, but very well-concealed alcohol.

Pours a oil black no light showing thru this baby. No head either khaki ring is mostly it.
Aroma is sweet with loads of cinnamon, nuts, vanilla dominate over the malt base.
Taste loads of spice cinnamon, light pepper heat that mingles with it, lactose sweetness, vanilla, nutty notes no real coffee or roasted malts for me. Strange little stout all over the place, maybe less adjuncts for my preference as it's covert up the base too much.
Mouthfeel is solid mellow carbonation.
Overall to all over the place adjunct heavy for me to want to repeat, not really bad just not my thing.
