Beer poured from bottle into a Snifter shaped glass.
A - Beer poured with a dark brown colored body; top of the beer formed a nice thinly colored reddish hue; espresso colored head, about 1/2 finger in size; good sticky lacing formed on the side of the glass; no visible carbonation
S - Coffee; chocolate; slight sour yeast smell; dark fruit, like raisins and figs; licorice; sweet biscuit back end with nice touch of banana
T - Beer has a very nice flavor profile of dark fruit, such as fig and raisins, mixed with a perfect amount of licorice; not very alcoholic in taste, which is nice, and carries a traditional roasted stout character taste; some nice sweet candy-like flavors round off the drinking experience with biscuit and lighter colored fruit like banana
M - Beer has a medium body consistency, with a thin watery finish; lingering flavors of dark fruit and licorice; slight bitter aftertaste
D - Another good beer from Gigi (brew master); could use more body, but from what Gigi told me, he doesn't like filling beers, so I don't think a full body Stout will be in the near future for Levante; great balance of licorice and dark fruit flavors; be sure to get your hands on this to compliment your dessert
