Beer poured from bottle into a Snifter shaped glass.
A - Beer pours with a healthy looking burgundy colored body; bubbly two finger white colored head formed and held pretty well; some lacing formed on the side of the glass; body color wasn't necessarily transparent but what lighter in color than a traditional Belgian Dark Ale; body profile could use a darker color and more body
S - Smooth and enjoyable scent profile of brown sugar; spices; pronounced malt scents of biscuit and caramel; hazelnut; dark fruit, such as figs and dates; toffee
T - Dark fruit flavors of figs and dates wash over the tongue immediately after taking a sip, its immediately followed up by a nice sweet brown sugar flavor; caramel malt back end coats the back of the tongue; touch of other flavors come up as well, such as toffee and grape; spices
M - Nice medium body; effervescent feel of bubbles on the tongue; lingering flavors of brown sugar and a touch of alcohol gives the beer a pleasant blast of rich flavored aftertaste
D - Great drink; this is probably Levante's best beer to-date; I have another shipment coming in soon, but this definitely gets the nod from me; great smooth Strong Dark Ale flavor and high alcohol content puts this beer up with the rest of the great tasting Belgians out there
