Medium amber body, clear; decent carbonation; fair head, somewhat thin yet lasting, moderately dense appearance; tiny flecks of foam spot the glass. Not much in the smell; very faint light malt. Nice mild malt taste; fairly intense hop bitterness; delicate caramel. Medium mouthfeel; generally smooth.
The brewery doesn't designate what kind of English pub ale this is. I opted for listing it as an 'English bitter', but based on Beer Judge Certification Program guidelines, and this beer's ABV, I lean more towards this being a 'strong bitter' (aka ESB). Regardless, it's a nice, easy drinking ale.
ABV: 5.5%; pouring temperature: 49.5 °F; crowler info: canned 9-30-25
