Dark brown black with two fat fingers of tan head.
Smell is dark roasted malts some cocoa.
Taste is cocoa malty with a touch of molasses some bitterness but not much.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Finish is lightly sweet and relatively balanced.
Overall a big and tasty porter. Date on bottom: 01/14/2019. Probably canned on date.

Thanks, Don!
Got this from Don after meeting him and Lindsey for a fun weekend on the vineyard. We each brought some beer, but he said this one was kind of a joke in that he lived in Lompoc and this was Lompoc Brewery out of Portland, Ore. Online description called it, “As soon as this premium porter passes the lips you’ll be hit by the creamy taste of dark chocolate. Stand by and wait for the dark cherry and hints of coffee to join the party. Brewed with dark wheat, rauch, and chocolate malts, this beer strikes a fine balance between heavy and light. It’s robust enough to sip, but smooth enough to have another... and maybe another... and well, you get the picture.”
Poured a brown with a touch of red color with two-to-three fingers of frothy khaki-tan head. Could see plenty of bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Good spotty lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled chocolate, toffee, dark fruit, dark espresso, chewy caramel, chocolate milk, toast and roasty malts. Not much addition from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Taste was not as good as the smell. Something a bit off here. Got burnt coffee, dark chocolate, toast, roasty malts, char wood, dark chewy caramel and chocolate milk. (Taste - 3.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Bitter, smoky finish. (Feel - 3.50)
Grew on me a bit toward the end, but still just good overall. (Overall - 3.50)

Poured a can into a tulip. About half an inch of fizzy dark brown cola foam but settled down to a creamy thin quarter inch of froth. Dark, dark brown. Nearly black. Virtually zero light escapes.
Sweet chocolate a.d vanilla on the nose. Touch of oak and cedar with some toasted dry autumn leaves on the finish.
Smooth and chocolaty again but with a graphite and steel taste. Creamy milky latte finish.
Texture is creamy. Very smooth, with a mild tingle of bubbles at the end.
Good solid porter. On the high side of ABV for a porter, but the smoothness is nice.
