Very Good
Notes: Collaboration with our estemmed guests from #PilsandLove Birrificio Italiano #Saisontino is a 5% #saison with a nearly 100% pilsner malt base and generously hopped with a decidedly European hop bill. Saaz from the Czech Rep., East Kent Goldings from Great Britain, Tettnang, and Hersbrucker from Germany and Celeia from Slovenia all went into the kettle, with a similar blend used to #dryhop the fermented beer. Such an array of low-alpha European hops gives a pronounced bitterness, but a delicate fruitiness. Think lemon zest and hay with an assertive bite.

this one tastes just a tad bit tired to me, like its been sitting a little long, but its a rad beer anyway, a cool collaboration with birrificio italiano, who keeps killing it when i get to drink their stuff. this is real pale from the tap, looks like a kellerpils or something, with a short and airy white head on it, less than an inch high but with good retention and lace. smells tart, lemony, light, less funky than a lot of the oxbow stuff i have had, but its still very much them, like, their house blend of fermenting agents has a signature, much like a jolly pumpkin or a jester king, and here its obvious again, even if the proportions are a little different. it almost has a lagered crispness and snappy finish, but also enough acidity to make it real dry. the hops are noble but interesting and fresh rather than dried tasting, and the malt base makes it seem like a classic pils, a cool mix of styles then, fun and drinkable and different, subtle in a lot of ways compared to what we are used to from oxbow, but they do a nice job understating things most of the time, and thats the case here too. so carbonation, this one really blasts off. cool to find an oxbow beer on tap in colorado, maybe the first of their stuff i have seen here, praying for more of it, i love everything they do!

Light honey colour with tall head on pour that leaves way to lots of lacing. No major notes off the nose, but tastes of toasted rice, almost like genmaicha tea, very delicious and clean tasting with a light mouthfeel.

750 ml bottle drank on 9/10, bought at the brewery about a week prior.

Light refreshing saison. Pale gold translucent color with half inch white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a little head around the edges. Not much smell that I could discern, but there was something there. Light fluffy mouthfeel. Taste is light - a little hay, but not much bitterness or bite - I think the pilsner malts come through maybe giving this a crisp taste. A very quaffable saison that I could drink all day - thanks Oxbow, and Birrificio Italiano!
