Look: Hazy translucent straw with a medium white head.
Smell: Lemon peel, green banana, white pepper, clove, and whole wheat crust. Smells like a Hefeweizen.
Taste: Preserved lemons with that tart sweet sour and light salinity on the attack. Then a pure Hefeweizen body of clove, green banana, Granny Smith apples, peppercorn, and floral hops take hold. There is a nice white bread crust on the back of the body. This all dries out to a wildflower honey and dry buttering floral hop note. The finish has a very light tart funk reminiscent of green hay.
Feel: Quenching and clean. Not hint of that 8% ABV here. The body is just like a hefe but maybe a little heavier. Carbonation is sharp and bubbly.
Overall: Another beautiful beer from these guys. Just a spot on blend of honey and Hefeweizen with just a kiss of funk. Oxbow continues to impress.
