Bottle from the brewery in Portland during the 2020 trip to Maine. Pours opaque dark amber orange with a finger of fluffy white head, smell is spicy sour funk, sour grape jam, boozy dark cider, hints of raisins, figs, and fruit by the foot, taste is spicy sour apple cider, grape hard candy, hints of vinegar, feel is light, well carbonated, and fairly acidic. A nice and warm cider forward beer, but I was hoping for more spice and whisky character.

Taster at the brewery.
Appearance: Cloudy gold. Minimal lace.
Aroma: Rye, wheat, pepper, fresh grass.
Taste: Big peppery note followed by a surprisingly hoppy finish.
Mouthfeel: Pretty easy drink. Taste is kind of aggressive but not to the point of painfulness.
Overall: Very nice peppery, wheaty saison.
