Appearance: Pours hazy and the color of blueberry juice with a small, ecru head; spots of lacing
Smell: A blend of blackberry tartness with the more subtle blueberry sweetness; the yeast also creates a dynamic
Taste: Tart blackberry with some sweet blueberry flavors forward with yeast phenols building through the middle; fruity flavors dominate the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: Enjoyable, even in the pouring rain of the State of Origin festival

L: Poured from a bottle to a snifter glass. Had a purple-black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was an inch of creamy, off white, long-lasting head. Very good lacing.
S: A solid aroma of berries, Belgian yeast, stone fruit, and some dark fruit.
T: Tasted of a mild amount of stone fruit (cherries, in particular), light dark fruit notes (plums), a good amount of Belgian-style yeast (present throughout), a good shot of berries (blackberries, blueberries), and a slightly medicinal quality. A tart and slightly uneven flavor. The medicinal / herbal quality sometimes interferes with the rest of the elements. Still, not a bad taste.
F: A well-carbonated beer with a dry, smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: This beer has a few hiccups, but it's pretty solid. Worth a try.
