Much more carbonated than expected. Clean floral smell and can taste the honey. Close to its best by date, so possible some of the flavors have mellowed. Delicious just the same.

 

Solid saison with an overall herbal character but not noticeably different from the Blueberry and Black Sage options of the beer. Dry finish but not up to the high bar of the Meadowfoam variety.

330ml bottle served in a tulip. Pours a lovely honey-colored hue with a fizzy, half inch, off-white head. Clarity is slightly hazy. Pleasant nose - herbal notes with almost a minty quality. Taste consistent with nose - herbal quality hits up front, followed by notes of honey; however, the flavor burst quickly dissipates but then follows up with a light, lingering quality at the finish. Mouthfeel is light in body with a lively, crisp carbonation and a semi-dry finish. Overall, a solid offering; however, not overly complex.
