This one pours a golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like white grape and cognac sweetness, oak, lemon zest, clementines, orange rind, berry, and stone fruit.
This is really quite tremendous. The cognac puncheon aspect gives off a very cool earthy sweetness here, kind of grape and berry like. There's also some vibrant stone fruit, and loads of white wine (even though this wasn't in white wine barrels at all). There's some oakiness, a fairly heavy acidity, and a funky bitterness that feels like lemon zest and lemon rind.
This is light bodied, crisp, and very acidic, with a lingering sourness at the end of each sip.
These are definitely two heavy-hitting breweries, and they came together for an excellent collaboration.
