Reviewed from notes. This was on tap at Vignola’s, Portland ME. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a fairly nice looking golden bronzed yellow color with a decent half finger white foamy head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds. There’s a decent light lacing that slides into the beer. The smell has some light pear and apple with a fairly decent floral hoppiness that ends up adding a slight touch of spice and some pepper and clove. The taste was mainly sweet and spicy through a nice light maltiness that added a fairly decent grainy to breadiness to intermingle throughout. On the palate, this sat about a light to medium in body with decent carbonation indicating a light harshness, but nothing overly done. It was good for the style and for me. Overall, I had a couple of these so that I could get a good feel for it that night. In my opinion, I say this was a well worthy beer to have again.

32oz growlette barely 2 days old.
Pours a hazy golden color with inch head
Smells sweet of fruit with grapefruit a standout and grassiness
Tastes quite similar, rustic with grass pine notes and a slight bitter/sour fruit finish that doesn't linger too long. Light/mild body.
Overall: another great one from Oxbow, plain and simple

This beer is described as a blonde saison. It is hopped exclusively with German Hersbrucker. I'm pouring from a 32 oz growlette that was filled Wednesday. Today is Saturday, and it has been refrigerated constantly. I've poured into my Oxbow tulip.
The beer is slightly hazy and blonde. It has a soapy white head that didn't last too long.Swirling brings the head back and leaves good lacing.
The aroma is a good balance of farmhouse yeast and some grassy hops.
The beer has a very grassy flavor as well. It reminds me of warm spring days. It's an excellent beer for this time of year. A slight funk is there from the Brett. This is still a young beer and the Brett isn't very strong. Apparently it will get stronger over time. A review of this beer in a month from now will probably reflect this.
It has a medium body and very good carbonation retention considering this is a growler pour.
I like this beer a lot. It's different from the other Oxbow saisons. The German hops make it something special. I'm interested to see what the Brett does to this beer over time.
