This beer has been aged for 3 months in casks that previously held apple brandy from Skånska Spritfabriken.

Having been aged in apple brandy barrels for 3 months the heavy foaming upon pouring was concerning. The beer is definitely over carbonated which for me impacts negatively the appearance and the mouthfeel. There is definitely a nice apple brandy sweetness on top of the base flavors of the beer (see my Svarte Petter review) but this needs to be dialed in more. Beyond the overcarbonation there are no issues. With that said, until this gets dialed in I still prefer the base beer here.
