Pours a hazy golden amber, peach coloration with a small fizzy head. Smell is dominated by citrus zest and lemon peel, with some light tropical fruits, biscuity malt and lactose also coming through. Taste follows the nose, being absolutely dominated by citrus zest and lemon peel, giving this quite an acidic character, with lighter notes of tropical fruit: pineapple, mango, as well as some light biscuity malt and lactose, adding some sweetness into the mix. Finishes quite tart and acidic, with a light bitterness and some citrus zest and lactose lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth, somewhat thin mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a bit heavy on the citric acidity, especially for a milkshake IPA, although a certain sweetness from the lactose is also coming through. Still, the balance feels off, which I personally don't mind that much, because I do actually quite like a bit of tart acidity, however if you buy this expecting a sweet, juicy milkshake IPA, you will probably be disappointed. Also lacks the full, creamy mouthfeel that I expect from a milkshake IPA.
