Copenhagen 23/1 2021. 33 cl can Meny, Borups Allé. Frb. F. Close up of Santa with Superman dragging his cane across the horizon reflected in his sunglasses.

Pours opaque, dark brown with a small light beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.

Aroma is intense and with a sugary, candy-like odor mingling with Christmas spice. Sweet dark malty odor, toffee and sweet biscuit. Cinnamon and vanilla.

Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and sugary - laden with Christmas spices. A bit thin though.

Intense and very sweet. I hardly noticed it is a pretty light brew.

330 ml can, as Amundsen Christmas Morning Breakfast Waffle Stout, from Gulating Ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Small off-white to beige head. Aroma of lightly roasted malts, blueberry jam and waffles. Flavour with the same elements as the aroma, not too sweet, but does not appear perfectly balanced. Not bad, but hardly a beer I'll buy again.

L- Resembles Coke, but held to a light it's clear and veeery dark ruby-brown. Pours with a minor and brief head.
S- Vanilla, dough and lactose.
T- Follows the Smell^ vanilla, lactose, then a lighter cocoa/choco note.
F- It's of the Milk Stout style, but somehow even as low as 4.7% it doesn't feel obviously under-powered, NOR over rich/sweet due to a lack of solid ABV%-oomph.
O- Interesting and a bit different but nothing much going on to make me wish to buy it again.
330ml £3.60 bought from TremblingMadness/York as part of a mixed case for home-delivery to London.
