Copenhagen 19/12 2021. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. As "Amundsen In Cafruits - Triple Berry & Maple Smoothie". Drawing of some kind of maelstrom littered with different pieces of fruit on dark purple background.
Pours murky dark burgundy with a mid-sized pink head. Bubbly. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong odor of sweet, sugared berries mingling with a light tart scent. Blackberry and raspberry. Maple syrup and brown sugar. Caramel and toffee. Sour cheese peeking in.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick oily, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a light sourness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sour undertone slowly gaining precedence. Lingers fo a while. Finish is sweet and syrupy.
A tad too sweet for my tastebuds. But it is a fine maelstrom.

fruited milkshake sour here with maple, sounds like it should be too much, but it’s not, it’s really quite good, everything in this is so well dialled, the tart sour fruit flavours and sweet maple balance perfectly, along with some oaky, herbal flavours as well. blueberry, raspberry, citrus fruit, some golden kiwi flavour, nice levels of sourness, and just great use of maple, also a bit of gummy milkbottle flavour from the lactose, no real bitterness to report, medium bodied, low to medium levels of carbonation, slight creamyness to it. yeah this is really cool, finally got to try a beer from these guys, and i look forward to more
