nice amount of carbonation, beautiful gold color, thin line of topping.... smell is of nice, yet subtle hop... taste is also subtle- a little sweet, a little pale lagerness and bitterness. i'm SoCal so this is new for me. I really like it. great marriage of a pale vs lager....

On-tap 3/15/2015 at British Beer Company, in Walpole, MA served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains citrus, floral hops, light caramelized malts and lager yeast.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of citrus and caramel. Then a strong floral hops bitterness comes in. The malt character and lager yeast breadiness is hearty but not too heavy and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

16.9oz bottle. Pours an almost translucent orangey straw color with very little head. Minimal lacing. The aroma is grassy and floral with some piney hops as well. Slightly sour. The taste basically hits on almost every flavor profile of hops. Piney, dank, herbal, spicy, grassy and floral hops. Not sure if that's necessarly a good thing. This one is all over the place. Mint with some sour breadiness. Finishes with more herbal and dank hops. Crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a bit of a weird one. It's pretty decent but I don't need to have it again.

500 ml bottle was poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: A one finger puffy head was poured that reduced to a thin layer. It is a pale golden yellow with great clarity and vision of bubbles coming up through the glass. Frothy lacing down the glass as the beer was drank.

Smell: Grassy, spicy, resiny, danky, piney, pilsner, and pale malts.

Taste: Tastes just as good as it smells. A little chewy and slight bitterness in the rear.

Mouthfeel: Smooth, medium bodied, refreshing, slight bitterness, and medium carbonation.

Overall: Another solid hopstitution beer from these guys. Definitely having more of this before the next installment.

Bottled 1/27/15

Pours a nice big creamy fluffy 1.5 finger head that fades at a med to slower pace, fluffy creamy foamy head, leaves a nice soapy lacing too, very clear golden pilsner like color.

Nose is... well let's just say the hops I don't like, so much pine and resin, like a pine tree sap leaking fresh from the tree, a grassy pine and pine forest floor, a very light straw malt, plenty of resinous hop oil, so they got that right.

Taste has more of the same, lots of hop oil resin, dank resin and pine tree sap, fresh bite from a conifer like I took the bite myself. The dank resinous hop leads to a mild grassy hop profile as well, tangy and a nice earthy pine forest floor bite, with mild sweet malt, a little straw grassy malt underneath, not much, and a little sticky sap feel even. Finish attempts to dry, but more sticky sap, long piney resin and earthy pine oil lingering, mild sticky malt.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, nice carb.

Overall, even Jack's Abby couldn't save this hop, so much pine resin, dank musty hop oil, pine forest floor, hard to drink this, a very nasty hop that I really don't enjoy. Sorry guys, possibly a decent beer but just overpowered by that hop.

500ml bottle served in a willibecker. 01/07/2015 printed on the bottle neck. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a dense, two inch, cream-colored head. Head eventually settles into a dollop with delicate, textured strands of lacing revealed as the brew recedes. Nose is fairly subdued; just a hint of citrus zest and lime. Taste follows nose with the addition of a light, grassy quality - very mild and nuanced. Mouthfeel is light in body with a pleasant, even carbonation and just a kiss of acidity. Overall, a very light and easy drinking hoppy lager.
