Growler poured into chalice

Hazy Golden orange with solid white layer of white bubbles. Great lacings .

Tropical, pineapple, dank aromas

Leads with tropical hops on the front of the tongue ,

Smooth, lingering bitterness

Better than mass rising. Grabbed this one because trillium has been putting out a bunch of double dry hopped beers. Like this one and would love to see a double dry hopped kiwi rising.

Poured out as a slightly hazed yellowish gold color. with a nice white head on top. The smell of the beer is generously hopped. The taste has some subtle malt but mostly very hoppy which I enjoyed. The feel of the beer is medium bodied. Overall it's a very good brew.

A -About 2 fingers of dense, creamy white head. Excellent lacing and good retention. Beautiful hazy orange-golden body.

S -Pineapple, bright orange and lime, dank, tropical fruit.

T -Follows the nose with a ton of tropical fruit (pineapple, mango) and finishes with orange and lime. There's some underlying dankness. Also, distinct grassy bite and grains from the base beer throughout. Maybe a little alcohol towards the end. A ton of depth to this.

M -A hint of stickiness that is quickly cut through by the crisp base beer. Very drinkable. Medium bodied and low-medium.

O - Mass Rising is a delicious double, but the DDH version is even better. The nose is very Trillium-like, in all the best ways, but the taste and mouthfeel are distinctly JA. This is the best hop forward beer that JA has made thus far and one of the best hoppy offerings I've had from MA. These guys continue to push the limits and it continues to be an remarkable ride for all with the addition of DDH Mass Rising.
