Was fortunate to have hit the brewery yesterday and picked up a growler of this treat.
Needless to say, the growler didn't last too far into the evening with my buddies.
A think tight head forms but the lower carbonation didn't create a thick head. The beer is a touch darker than gold and in the deep brass area.
Aroma is fantastic. Grapefruit juice.
What's so funny is that the flavor sounds like a natural since many hoppy beers have grapefruit notes.... But one taste and you can see this is a different animal. This literally tastes like the fruit. Just fantastic. The deep grapefruit flavor plays perfectly with the breadiness of the Jabby. A wonderful compliment.
I think the mouthfeel seems bigger than standard Jabby, but I think is all about the cask serving. Smooth and wonderful.
Great beer. I am hoping to convince the gang to do this again. Wonderful beer. Keep up the great work.
