The colour is deep amber (15 EBC), the liquid clear. The beer is bottle conditioned. The low off-white head disappears quickly with a fizzing sound. No lacing.
The smell is a bit bitter with some malt sweetness and hints of higher alcohols and detergents. Caramel and a touch of wet leather.
The taste is a bit sour with notes of black currants, American bitter hops, rosehips and dry raspberries. The short aftertaste is sour-sweet with some red berries and a touch of perfume.
The carbonation is very strong, the small bubbles sharp. The liquid is light.
Maybe this bottle is on the edge of an infection? It is not entirely ruined yet, though.
