Pours crystal clear golden amber with a thick white head, beautiful lacing. Aroma is full of pine and citrus. Flavor follows the nose, pungent and sweet at the same time. Feel is on the light side of medium bodied and well carbonated. Overall, fabulous.

I tried this beer off the tapper at Copper Pint in Bloomington, Minnesota near MSP Airport. It poured a clear copper with white head that left a nice lace. The scent had pine and mild bitter citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base and bitter pine resin and citrus hop presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

12 oz can canned 6/25/25 into a Becker glass.
L: Pours 95% clear golden caramel color, steady fine carbo, a 1/4" frothy white head that has very good retention, has loose random plus antique lace sheeting with some back banding.
S: Hops, citrus zest, cereal grains, a note of berries.
T: Taste follows aroma plus caramelized malts, distant white grape skin, gently sweet with bitter pine resin emerging more in a lingering finish.
F: Brisk medium-light bodied mouthfeel with a medium-long moderately dry finish.
O: Very well balanced and delicious. I get centennial hops. Simple and very easy to drink at 7%. It is excellent to outstanding in its style.

This aroma hits you like a cloud of marijuana in a frat house basement, but in a good way. It has a very aggressive bitterness that does not last too long on the tongue.

Pours gold with little to no haze, white fluffy head that doesn't stay around for to long. Smells of citrus and zest combined with floral elements. Very clean fresh taste of bitter hops that cancel out the fresh fruity orange flower flavors. Finishes with that nice classic IPA pine. Overall, well balanced beer that goes down real smooth for a 7%er with 77ibu.

The aroma is definitely in the WCIPA territory, although somewhat subdued. Citrus is there, of course, along with a floral component and a bit earthy. Just small hints of tropical fruits. Subtle bready malts back up the hop aromas.

Orange-amber color, clear, with moderate rising bubbles to a creamy, slightly off-white head with decent retention. The beer leaves attractive lacing as the head recedes.

Taste is immediately bitter, but back by very flavorful hops. The earthiness is more prominent in the flavor than in the aroma. Good combination of flavors, including the citrus and floral notes and the bready malts. The bitterness remains into the aftertaste, providing a lingering bitterness inviting the next sip.

The mouth feel is on the thin side of moderate, with a drying bitterness.

Overall, a good WCIPA. The aroma could be stronger, but the flavors are good with the earthy citrus and floral backed by a decent malt body.

12oz can
date stamped 06/02/20
thanks to Ken for giving me a can to try!
L: slightly hazed copper body with a foamy ivory head
S: soapy, floral, citrus, pine
T: floral soap, pine resin, grapefruit rind & pith, light caramel & grain
M: resinous medium body, ample carbonation, bitter & dry finish
O: it appears that I did not like this one as much as most do. I like it’s assertive bitterness, it’s just too floral for me

On tap. Amber color with white head. Citrus and piney hop smell. Medium body. Solid bready malt base with aggressive citrus/piney hops and a dry finish. Very nice!
