This place is a gem in Medford. Amazing tap list. So many good local and PNW beers. The to-go beer cooler is full of great beer, too. The service and prices are good, as well.

I'm a big beerworks fan. generally have great beers by the can, and even drive to Portland to get Great Notion. (saves me the shipping costs). I've even gotten Pliny from them. Prices are good too.

Definitely the best option for great taps and hard to find bottles in Southern Oregon. Atmosphere is nothing to write home about, but the bartenders are very friendly, the tap list (just 12, but this is Medford) is often excellent and the frequently changing bottle selection is very fine. Every once in a while they pull out something really special.

Visited this place for a pint and to go shopping during my weekend in Medford for friends' daughter's birthday party.

Tap list was good (I had Ninkasi's triple IPA), bottle selection is very good, prices varied from good to a little high (it helps that there is no sales tax in Oregon). Service was excellent, I enjoyed talking beer with the guy working. I'd definitely go back and spend more money.

It's definitely more of a specialty store than a liquor store -- if you want to buy a six pack or anything, it's probably the wrong place. If you want to find an uncommon or rare single, or explore an obscure style or brewery, then you're in the right spot.

Another hole in the wall spot in Medford. You walk in from Main St., and you'll see a cold box area to the right, and then a moderate sized (10 or 12 seats) bar area to right. BW has a very nice craft beer, bottle selecion, featuring today things like BB XXVI, FW sticky monkey, HOTD Fred and Adam, Boulevard Brett Saison, Mirror Mirror, etc. They also have 11 beers on tap (plus one cider), which today included Megafauna, Oakshire's 9th Anniversary and the Hermanne. In the past, they've had beers like Avery's Maharaja, an Oakshire pale ale, the state of Jefferson porter, etc. Add to that a nice selection of canned craft brew, and you have a considerable number of reasons to stop by here while in Medford.

Prices were OK on the draft list, but a bit high with some of the limited release bottles and growlers. You get no break on the growler price here; if a beer is $5 a pint, then you multiply that price by 4, and that's what the growler price is. Also, while they knock $2 off the bottle price for stuff to go (so I gather the listed price on the bottles is the in house price), the price on some things is still pretty high (both sticky monkey and BB XXVI were around $19 a bottle for beer to go). Service was good. The folks here weren't particularly engaging, but it was clear they knew their stuff and could provide information and help if you needed it (based on what I overheard).

Shrug. Outside of prices that were a bit on the high side, this place is great. If I lived in Medford, this, along with Gypsy Blue's is where I'd come to get good beer in Medford. This place is recommended.

Edit from 2/16. Not much new to report, except the tap list is now up to 12 (and so have edited my prior review), and bartender last night seemed much more knowledgeable and engaging (have increased the service score accordingly). As it's winter, the bottle selection now includes the Abyss (and was told they even received a case of the Cognac and Rye variants - all long gone of course).

Still the preeminent place to come for good beer while in Medford.

I was able to make it for happy hour for some nicely priced pints. Not too many taps, but it's a nice small place. Just a single 15' bar with a nice cooler on the other side that features a strong local selection. I guess you can order food from the close/ surrounding restaurants, and they'll deliver it in to you, so that's pretty cool. Definitely a must stop if you're passing through!

Love this place. Medford was in need of this type of bottle store/beer place. I frequently stop in on their "five for five" sampling on Friday nights. There isn't anywhere in the valley with the selection they have. Surrounding restaurants will bring your order over to you while you're having a beer.

400+ unique and hard to find beers, 5 exceptional beers on tap, all the local Oregon beers, chilled pint glasses, beer tastings every Friday at 5:00 pm, friendly & knowledgeable employees that are passionate about beer, to-go pricing if you want to take it with you, nice atmosphere with a super friendly crowd, lots of sharing and a great downtown Medford location. Beerworks is simply a great place to to drink beer. The owner supports local non-profits. I highly recommend that if your heading north or south on I5, and will be staying in Medford, that you stop by for a cold one.

I was in Medford for business and just happened upon this place. The one guy working was really helpful and pointed me in the direction of some good local beers. The place is brand new, only open for about a month. They had a pretty good selection built up though. They had a wall of coolers probably around 8 full of beer. There was a bar with a decent selection on tap (4 taps). A couple of tables and a selection of glasses off to the side. I'm not sure what the demand in Medford is for a place like this, but as far as I could tell there is no competition in town. If I ever make it back into town I'm definitely stopping back by here.
