Draft at brewery. Cloudy golden pour, skin of fine bubbles. Yeasty, fruity aroma, pears. Taste brings a minor sour/tart vibe, yeasty, orchard fruit. Light, perky

Look: Pours a hazy, lemony yellow with a noisy and sudsy head that settles quickly to a lid and leaves minimal lacing behind

Aroma: Hay, lemons, floral notes, Brett funk, sharp citrus, barnyard, and yeast

Taste: Opens up with a sharp, citrusy punch that is both sour and a little funky and those quickly develop depth. Hay and floral notes come next with some herbal elements mixed in as dried flowers mix with dried spices and yeast and Brett notes come into play as well. Oak, leather, and barnyard go back and forth with floral and citrusy notes until it closes out with yeasty funk

Mouthfeel: Light but full, pretty clean, medium-high carbonation, and spritzy and lightly dry on the finish

Overall: This is some tasty stuff. I was intrigued by this beer after reading details about it as the name ‘Farmhouse IPA’ seemed odd, given that these folks don’t make an IPA and after reading more, I was on the lookout. It is a really tasty and interesting beer that is a dry-hopped Grisette that is funkified in wine barrels and all of that comes through and in all the right ways. I’m loving this one and would definitely recommend it as well
