i was expecting a lot more out of this collaboration ipa. it has a light clear honey color to it, with a airy white head with decent lacing as she drinks. nose of west coast hops, higher alpha, a little piney, and crisp. its odd though, they don't really come through in the taste as forward as they smell, and are in fact muted a little bit. tastes like an odd grain bill too, maybe some euro pils malt in there, giving it a bready hint that isn't all the way compatible with the hops here. good carbonation and a very light body, sort of an odd mix of flavors and textures. Denver beer makes the incredible pedal ipa, which is absolutely fantastic. I was hoping this would be more like that one, but it lacks all of that pungent hop character that makes their other ipa so great. passable, but nothing special here unfortunately.
