Nice brown body with great clarity; virtually no head, it pours fizzy and dissipates quickly. Roasted grain char on the nose; bare traces of dark fruits; faint brown sugar. Rich, roasted grain flavor; black strap molasses; anise; decent bitterness co-mingling with a boozy presence. Heavy body; syrupy; dull sweetness cut with an alcohol edge.
This is not a bad quad, it just lacks a decent appearance and a cohesive depth and balance with the flavors.
