a draft rye pale ale that is around at the park burgers and homegrowns. not a bad beer at all, but quite obviously designed to be appealing to everyone, and it was a little light on the rye for me and not as dry as i like my session or food pale ales. its got just a little brassy color to it, a few shades darker than the blonde looking pales, but crystal clear and sporting a nice inch of white head. at first pass i get a little bit of rye, but my palate attenuates to it quickly, and after about a quarter of the pint, i can hardly appreciate its contribution at all. the hops taste tame to me too, very low on the bitterness which makes the beer seem sweeter to me than it probably is, and just a bit of orange type citrus to it, all in the finish. carbonation is also a little low, and this doesnt feel as light as it should for what it is, but with a juicy burger or a tasty wood fired pizza slice (i am a sucker for the food in these establishments), its as easygoing and complimentary, if forgettable glass of beer. i wouldnt put my name on it like they have, but it serves its purpose well enough...
