Had on-tap at their brewery. Poured a dark, opaque black color with a beige head that was creamy and resilient. Good lacing. Smelled of dark, sweet malts, chocolate, coffee and sweet cream. YUM! Tasted just like it smelled. It wasn't too complex, but it was well balanced. A decent stout.
Full bodied with light carbonation. SMOOTH. Goes down easy...I'd recommend it for a taste and then go from there...

A summer stout, ok. Basically, this is a "light" stout in my opinion. It has the required roasted malt, some chocolate and coffee flavors, just lighter than usual. I would liken it to maybe a Guinness with less smokiness. Probably good with some desserts, but they don't serve any here.

First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured an opaque brown-black, with a cap of creamy, light tan head, and minimal lacing. Aroma of rich, dark malts, dark chocolate, and a bit of coffee and cream. Smooth and light, but still full of flavor. Dark roasty malts, a bit of chocolate, a bit of coffee...nothing out of the ordinary, and maybe one-dimensional, but still a solid stout. Just on the border of medium- and full-bodied, goes down smooth and easy, which is what you'd want from something labeled as a "summer stout."
