This is, as I was told, a second running off of their barley wine, which I didn't try or see. Labeled a session, not really sure how to categorize that...
Pours a dark copper/amber. Clean and clear. Faint white head.
Stale malt aroma. It's like a warm lager, and those are not my favorite. Some spice and hops, but mostly sweet.
The malt character is strong here. Unbalanced for sure, the stale or musky malt just doesn't leave me. Some bitterness and spice, but mostly something I don't like all that much.
Low alcohol, but not sure what %
