This was given to me by a friend out in Littleton, Colorado a few months back. I see him once or twice a year and since he knows I enjoy good beer, he saved a can of this for me. Indeed, this was a lovely offering as it wasn't like anything I had before!
Can't say that I've reviewed an American Blonde Ale that was coffee forward, but that was the case with this unique brew. Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was a deep, earthy brown with a nice amount of subtle brightness to it. Tons of foamy, uneven head topped it off as the suds had enough big bubbles and took their time settling down. Roasted coffee throughout the nose and taste as there was enough cream, vanilla, and sweetness to complement the fresh-brewed nature of this beer. A bit sticky, plenty cloying, and subtly slick, this was not like any other American Blonde Ale that I ever had as it contained enough traits of a Coffee Porter as well...
Canned on 3/7 of this year, this had a light amount of carbonation and a bit of chocolate in the aftertaste, which allowed the potency to fully emerge. With that being said, I could still see myself having one of these in the morning, as one of quotes on the top of the can borrowed from the old Folgers slogan. This was a ton of fun, but certainly not flat, as I hope to have another go at this the next time I'm out that way!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
