On tap at Denver Beer poured a clear reddish brown with a small lingering tan head. Aromas of band aid, carmel and frutiness. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of smoke, carmel, bread and light fruittiness with a smooth lingering smokey finish.

Intensely aromatic sweet stuff. So smokey and peaty it pretty well takes care of your taste buds. Very, very rich. Fairly sharp and puts an edge on your teeth in spite of all the residual sugar. Dark taste in the back of the throat. Makes me think of corn cobs and ham. Long-lasting nose of smoked meat.
On tap at the brewpub. Served in a tulip glass, 10 oz for $5. Drinkability is pretty slim after a few sips.

This is a style that I like quite a lot. Sometimes you get one that doesn't have the smoke/peat. Other times, a beer can have a ton of each. This one here is the latter. A dark brown/ruby pour with a simple off-white head.
Aroma is rich and full of peat and smoke. Sweet. Thick caramel.
The taste is front forward with smoke and peat. Sweet caramel. It's a bit over powering and nothing else really comes through. Unbalanced...not that this is bad. If you like smoke and some earth, this one is for you.
