Part of their Yang and Yin coupling. The Yang is the reg IPA, Yin is the black one. Yang was tapped out, so couldn't compare.
This beer pours dark with off white head. Looks and smells like a porter...at first. The grapefruit and pine from the hops comes through, though. Roast is nice up front.
The flavors are nice, but the don't dance too well, which kind of affects the mouthfeel. This is almost like a hoppy porter, or an old style English porter....but with more of that American hop profile.
Overall a nice beer and would go well with whatever food truck is outside
