This is their William Wallace scotch ale aged (4 months?) in Laphroaig barrel.
Dark brown pour, semi smooth head, a bit rocky.
Oof, that aroma is very nice. Scotch, peat, malt, sweetness, hints of rich butterscotch. Powerful
Rich malty beer this un here. The malt is glorified beyond belief and the peatiness, while not very smoky, becomes sweet and rich. Rich butterscotch can seem to be diacetyl, but not really. Fine line, but it works here. Small hint of woodiness.
Feel is a bit light and smooth. Kind of creamy. Could use something to jazz it up, but I really don't know what, and it would go against the style I s'pose.
Darn good beer. Comes close to being a mess, but it hangs in there. Some tweaking and more understanding of scotch barrels will only help
