Wow - different to what I have ever tasted in a beer
A brilliant appearance with an excellend head and head retention, along with excellent carbonation - classic wheat beer look
aroma: rummy/raspberry with slight oak
Taste: The rum dominates the palate with the raspberry, fruit tartness and, to a lesser extent, the vanilla playing a nice supporting role.
Overall a very nice and unique beer that is recommended to at least try - very enjoyable.

Hazy amber colour with a big, rocky, off-white head. Great head retention.
Great aroma of raspberry and rum. The oak is here too. Nice light wheat ale base.
Sharp berries are the dominant flavour with creamy rum playing a secondary role. The wheat is a foil for the berries which work well. Nicely balanced. Good light tartness.
Medium body with moderately-high carbonation.
A really solid beer. Crisp, full of flavour and extremely refreshing. Delightful.

From Beer Cartel. Bottled Mar 13.
Pours amber with a hint of deep red hue. Head is massive, large bubbles which - as a first for me - you could actually hear pop! Recedes to a film.
Aromas are wheat and raspberry, that's about it.
Taste is raspberry driven. Not really sweet, not really sour. No real hops. Not too sure of the barrel aspect either. A little medicinal.
Mouthfeel is highly carbonated and light.
Overall, a real oddity from HopDog, not one of their best... It doesn't quite work as a zesty summer beer nor as a wild ale.

Pours ruby-tinged amber with a very large head.
Nose shows dominant raspberry with some soft doughy wheat. Mainly just raspberry though.
Flavours of rum, booze, coconut, raspberry. A bit brash and disjointed. Too much hot booze.
Much too much carbonation.

Appearance is nice orange malt, just like a good IPA. Head is initially over-vigorous, but does retain with good head and lacing.
Smell is macerated cherries (cherries and alcohol). Does get the rum barrels- quite in-your-face in fact. Strong Flanders Red character. Slight marzipan.
Taste is a repeat of the nose. Sour suggestions on the palate but gone by the back palate.
Mouthfeel is decent but a bit of palate flavour is missing.
May enjoy if you like boozy Flanders Reds. I'm not sold on it.
